Our Online Home

FCBC Walnut has had a web presence since 2011. We celebrated our 30th anniversary in the Spring of 2015 and it was an opportunity to bring new life to our church.

Led by Deacon Joe Indrawan, we embarked on a mission to beautify our church building. One part of this process included repainting our exterior. While our physical walls received a fresh coat of paint, and we wanted our digital web presence to reflect the change. But we did not only want to update the look of the website – we wanted to rebuild it to make it more useful to church visitors as well as church members. While our old website has served us well, we wanted to update it to align with our vision of being a vibrant church.

July 2016 marked the start of Phase One. We assembled the team and started designing the website. Our web team consisted of web developers Gabe Lee and Chris Hui, computer infrastructure officer Chris Lui, web content strategist Endora Pan, and graphic designer Jessica Lee. Encouraged by Pastor Hanley Liu, I became the Social Media Officer in September 2016. We started Phase Two in January 2017 by building the website. Phase Three began in January 2018, and this is when we finalized the website by adding the blog and other resources.

This website is a labor of love. There are many more behind-the-scenes stories to share. But we have been waiting and we are ready to launch. Welcome to our online home.
