Three Things Your Child Should Bring to Church

The children have been adjusting well in coming back to church! It is a joy for us to disciple your children to know and love Jesus. Here are three things your child should bring to church every Sunday.

1. Bring a Bible

This is especially important if your child is in the elementary department. We use the Bible every Sunday for them to be familiar with their own Bible and be able to read the same Bible at home. Teach them to take care of their own Bible. Our church does not endorse any particular translation. However, we suggest the ESV or NASB. For younger readers, the NIrV is fine. Ask your children what they have been learning and help them read God’s Word throughout the week.

2. Bring a Water Bottle

Make sure to label it with your child's name. Our Sunday activities include Sunday School, recess, musical worship, listening to a sermon, and prayer groups. Bringing a water bottle helps your children stay hydrated and safe, helps our teachers keep track of the children’s possessions, and makes sure your kids never miss out.

3. Bring an Open Heart

Coming to church is something we should look forward to every week! Get everything ready on Saturday night so you can come early. Pray together with your child in the car before coming to church. Help your children prepare to encounter God through the preaching of His Word and the presence of His people.
